• Asharqia Chamber holds an extensive meeting of the business sector in Qatif today

    On Monday 17 December 2018, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Business Council in Qatif Governorate, hold its expanded business meeting at the headquarter of the Chamber in Qatif Branch on Riyadh Street.

    The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi and a number of members of the Council and the Secretary-General.

     

    The Chairman of the Board of the Chamber described this meeting as a valuable opportunity to communicate with the business sector, discuss common concerns, read the economic reality, and look ahead for bright future.

    He stressed the keenness of the Chamber to hold and establish such meetings for the business sector in all governorates of the Eastern Province including the province of Qatif, which is characterized by a community of entrepreneurs who are spending time, effort and money to serve the province, both at the business level and social responsibility level.

    Al-Khalidi added that this meeting is like other public meetings aims to exchange views in order to serve the business sector and propose a variety of programs that will contribute to the development of the mechanism of work in different sectors in the province, as well as reading the challenges facing the sector and ways to overcome them, and the prospects for the foreseeable future.

    It is noteworthy that this meeting is held at a time when our country is witnessing a large and distinguished bundle of projects and prospects for economic action that confirmed by the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

    For his part, Chairman of the Business Council in Qatif, Abdulmohsen Al-Faraj, said that the meeting will outline the direction of the Council in the coming period, which aims to provide diverse services for the business sector in the province in various categories and disciplines.

    He pointed out that such meetings usually come out with distinctive ideas and initiatives that serve the community, especially in the economic aspect and related to it.

    He called on business men and women to attend and enrich the meeting with opinions and ideas that reflect their results on society and the country in general.

     

    Al-Faraj said that in recent years, Qatif province has witnessed a significant growth of private sector activity, especially small and medium enterprises, as investment opportunities are promising by virtue of the geographical location of the Arabian Gulf, as well as being the link between the administrative capital (Dammam) and the industrial capital (Jubail).

    Hence, this sums up the importance of this meeting and other meetings of the business sector, which seeks opportunities and seeks to capture and develop.​
